Salzburg
We left Munich and drove to Salzburg. The roads were very busy and we had difficulties finding parking and then getting out of the car park when we came to leave....a story for another day.
We walked into the town and visited Mozart's home, then walked a bit around the city centre passing among other things Mozart's birthplace, now also a museum.
Then the rain arrived so we continued our journey into the South Tirol region of Northern Italy.
South Tirol and Dolomite Mountain Region Of Italy
We had booked a hotel in a little village called, Roderneck, which took some locating, bit was more luxurious than our first few nights!
We wanted to visit 'Cortina Adrenalin Park' at Cortina D'Ampezzo in the Dolomite mountains which was an hour and a half drive away. The children loved it. Jemima and Jonah who were over 130cm tall were able to participate on the main course, with Pete. They had to be kitted out and trained in using the clips and ropes , which prevented them from falling and enabled them to slide along the rope slides.
Elijah had his own course.
Elijah had his own course.
All that made us hungry...
...so we ordered a salami sandwich from Bob's Shack next door
and a ham one!
One of the Dolomite Mountains on our journey back to the hotel.
Next on to the Adriatic coast......
