2011

New Year 2011
There is still snow here and we saw the new year in the traditional German way with fireworks. At the non traditional time of 8pm! Our neighbourhood positively exploded at midnight with all the neighbours out  setting off fireworks IN THE STREET! Snow is an interesting backdrop for fireworks and a useful material to plant a firework into to light. The sky all around was filled as far as you could see and hear with explosions! You are only allowed to buy fireworks in Germany between 29th and 31st and can only set them off on 31st December or 1st January.

Some friends we had invited on Boxing Day had been unable to come so we had a New Year Party on 2nd January for them instead! I didn't manage to get a photo of everyone, but here are some of most of our guests!

More sledging in our back garden!

Christmas In Germany 2010 - Boxing Day

We invited some friends who were still around to our house for Boxing day, the day after Christmas. Jonah's Christmas present of a snooker table was well used and so were Pete's mind puzzles.
We had guests from, Zimbabwe, USA, Holland, Cameroon and of course us Brits!

The 'T' Puzzle was a challenge for many!

Let's Dance on the Wii was again popular.
