Everyone was well apart from me who unfortunately succumbed to a stomach bug as the day progressed, which rather hindered my attempts to learn to ski. However I did struggle through an hour 1:1 lesson to be introduced to how to move on Skis, stopping was harder (snow plough technique) and I fell over a few times! No pictures of that I'm afraid!
The children had a 2 hour lesson and seemed to get on quite well in the end. During this Pete (who of course can ski already!)_ had the chance to go for 2 runs down the nearest proper ski slope, before having to support the children practising!
It was tiring work, especially difficult in ski boots that seem to project you forward onto your toes! So there were a few food breaks..
By the end of the day when I'd unfortunately had to retire to the car everyone one was getting the hang of it!Travelling up the 'Magic Carpet' travelator to have another go. The Kinderland area for children was good for this.
PS. Now next time shall I just sit in the cafe, take photos and watch , or have another go?
