More highlights of Holland and visit to Madurodam Model Village

Pancakes.

Ice cream.

Pepeteve Characters

Easter Chicks.

And finally on the way home a visit to Madurodam. A model village built as a memorial by the parents of George Madurodam, who died in the Second World War.

This was on the way, we had to stop several times for the road to be lifted up allowing a boat to pass!

Another great holiday, we're blessed to have such opportunities!

Amsterdam and Keukenhof

On the Thursday of our trip (21st April) we ventured away from Center Parcs and travelled to Amsterdam. We wanted to visit the Van Gogh Museum, in the Museum Area. There was a good trail for the children to follow, and they won a postcard of their choice for completing it. We made a short walk around the area to catch a glimpse of Amsterdam, but Elijah was tired as he was unwell, so we didn't stay long. (It was a good job we had found a central car park and didn't have to walk far, even though it cost us 20€ for just under 4 hours!)

Of course being in Holland in Springtime we had to visit the gardens at Keukenhof too. Unfortunately Elijah was really flagging, but the flowers were amazing.

One of my main reasons to visit the Netherlands was to see tulips, and I wasn't disappointed with these fields.
