Camping at Ca'Savio near Venice
The second week of our holiday was spent in a caravan in a camp site on the Adriatic Coast of Italy near Venice. The accommodation was tiny and the bedding we ordered didn't exist, so we had to buy some disposable ones-not the most comfortable! The weather was very hot and sunny , except for the last day which was thundery and rainy. It turned out that our part of the campsite was rented out by a French tour operator, so nearly all our neighbours were french speaking, which was a challenge in communication, now we have German rooting in our heads, and we had to pull some vocabulary from very deep inside our memory!

The beach was very close by which was great.
There were often Jelly fish in the sea in the afternoons, which were not so nice if you got stung.
There were also swimming pools.

There were a lot of mosquitoes who enjoyed tasting us! I had a particularly pleasant blister from something?!
On the Tuesday we visited nearby Venice by boat. It was interesting, beautiful but extremely hot, and if you wanted to use the toilet it cost 1.50 euros
per person!!!!
Venice
The symbol of Venice is a winged Lion. It is fun to make a hunt for these with children . Mine spotted over 23 not counting some shop windows selling replica souvenir items.
