More Goodbyes!

On Friday Pete had his final day at Siemens, Germany.

He was presented with a saddle and some money to start the purchase of a new bike! Also two pictures...

Our English friend Theresa also called around to say goodbye.

Elijah's friend Jonas gave him a world cup...of chocolate!

Today was out last day at our church -the Internationale Jesus Gemeinde (IJG) in Erlangen (ER). We will miss them greatly.

Tomorrow the removers arrive. They have closed part of the parking area in our road in readiness.

My Birthday and Farewell Party

I have had the privilege of meeting and being friends with so many great and 'Lovely Ladies' during my time in Germany. Last night the LIFT group ( Ladies In Fellowship Together) that I have run over the past 3 1/2 years at our church, organised a joint farewell and birthday party for me. Women from that , the church, the Stitch in (tea)Time, Thursday Toddler and HENHaus groups,  I had also been a part of were invited too. There was great international food and good company. It is a blessing to have known you all, those who were there, those who could not come , and those who have left before me, made the journey of living in a foreign land brighter and easier.You've been like family. Thank you all. I shall miss you x.

Leaving Grundschule....

 The end of term has finally arrived and Jemima and Elijah have finished their time in a German School. They have done so well learning German from scratch in order to survive and do well in a foreign school system.

Elijah's class presented him with a custom made recipe book, where each child had provided their favourite recipe, and a picture of themselves. It had been professionally printed and had all their addresses in the back. He also got a T Shirt with his class photo on it, signed by everyone.

Pete has organised and run a Sports Ministry through our church. Every Monday night many play football at the Regnitzhalle in Bubenreuth, including friends and collegues as well as church members.Here are some of them.
